Tasha TudorsHeirloom Crafts
Author Tovah Martin and photographer Richard W. Brown take us inside Corgi Cottage to watch Tasha create the handmade items she used daily in her nineteenth-century lifestyle.
Using original tools and techniques almost forgotten today, Tasha weaves on one of her seven looms, spins yarn, dyes wool, sews all her dresses , knits, crochets makes baskets from her own wood,
dips candles which become her only source of light ,
uses milk from her goats to produce cheese and nutter, presses cider, dries herbs, sews quilts for warmth and beauty .
She created a marionette theatre and a built-in dollhouse, to feature all of the puppets and doll house people she made.
The book CAPTURES the EXTRAORDINARY 1800s LIFESTYLE TASHA RECREATED AND LIVED HER ENTIRE LIFE .
